RAPD MARKER TO SCREENING GENETIC DIVERSITY OF LOCAL CHICKEN

A total of 500 local chickens from different regions Iraq, which were divided into five groups according to the they taken, namely, East (E), West (W), North (N), South (S), and Central (C) Iraq. The blood samples collected tubes containing an EDTA, DNA extraction was carried. Using 20 primers Gen Script USA, random amplification polymorphic (RAPD-PCR) carried out. reaction PCR had a final volume 25 μl. 473 loci ranging between 200 1800 bp amplified. higher numbers bands shown in north(N) chicken group (101) than other groups. (E) (S) phenotypic revealed bands. Polymorphism percent (%6.2) (E).
